How much does lawn mowing cost in Tauranga?
A standard section starts from $45 per mow on a fortnightly plan. The price depends on lawn size, slope, access and how long the grass is on the first visit. Our prices page has the full list.
Do I need to sign a contract?
No. You can change how often we come, pause over winter or stop whenever you like.
How often should my lawn be mowed in summer?
Most Tauranga lawns need a weekly mow from about November to March. Kikuyu, the grass in most local lawns, grows fastest in warm, humid weather. Leave it a fortnight and too much comes off at once, which scalps it brown. We drop back to fortnightly in autumn and less often in winter.
What happens if it rains on my mowing day?
We don't mow a soaking-wet lawn. The mower tears wet grass instead of cutting it, clippings clump, and wheels leave ruts in soft ground. We move you to the next dry day and text you the new day.
Do you take the clippings away?
Your choice, at no extra cost. We can take them away or mulch them back into the lawn. Mulching feeds the lawn, but in the summer surge it can leave clumps, so most people choose take-away from December to February.
