Grounds maintenance for hotels and motels in Tauranga

Guests judge a motel by the car park and the front garden before they reach reception. We keep lawns, gardens, hedges and entrances guest-ready at hotels and motels around Tauranga and the Mount, timing visits around check-out and check-in, and adding extra visits for the summer peak.

Hotels & motels

What hotels and motels need from a grounds contractor

What we hear from committees, managers and site owners, and how we handle it.

  • Guest-ready every day

Entrances, gardens and lawns kept neat, with weeds out of the car park and paths swept, because guests notice.

  • Work around guests

Visits timed for the quietest part of the day, usually after check-out, with noisy work kept away from occupied rooms.

  • A schedule that flexes

More visits leading into summer and the holiday peaks, fewer in the quiet months, agreed in advance.

Sites

Accommodation grounds we look after

Every property is planned around guests: when they arrive, where they park and what they see from their room.

  • Motels

Car parks, frontage gardens and the lawns and planting between units, kept tidy for arriving guests.

  • Hotels and serviced apartments

Entrances, courtyards and planters that set the first impression.

  • Holiday parks and coastal accommodation

Lawns, hedges and shared areas on the Mount and Pāpāmoa that get busy over summer.

  • Pool and courtyard gardens

Planting around pools and seating areas kept neat and clear.

Through the year

A year of grounds care for Tauranga accommodation

The visit schedule follows your occupancy as much as the grass, stepping up for summer and the holiday peaks.

  1. SpringSep–Nov

Growth takes off ahead of the busy season. First hedge trim, gardens weeded and planters refreshed.

  2. SummerDec–Feb

Peak guests and peak growth. Extra visits where needed, with work timed after check-out.

  3. AutumnMar–May

Leaf clearing and the second hedge trim as things quieten down.

  4. WinterJun–Aug

The quiet months. Fewer visits and a good time for bigger garden work before next summer.

Compliance

Working around guests

Guests shouldn't notice the grounds crew, only the result. Every visit is planned so it doesn't disturb them, and recorded so you know it was done.

  1. What time will your crew be on site?
  2. Can you add visits before busy periods?
  3. How will you keep noise away from guests?
  4. Will you write a safety plan for our property?
  5. Are you insured, and can we see the certificate?
